The USS Midway Museum will be closed to the public during our event. You are free to walk around the Hangar Deck and Flight Deck to explore the planes and other numerous military exhibits on the ship. You can enjoy the skyline of downtown San Diego from the Flight Deck as you relish the sunset.
Accessibility
Access from the Navy Pier to the Hangar Deck includes approximately 2 flights of stairs. There is also one large flight of stairs between the Hangar Deck and the Flight Deck. Handicapped elevator access is available from the Navy Pier to the Hangar Deck and from the Hangar Deck to the Flight Deck.
The USS Midway Museum is a decommissioned aircraft carrier so there are uneven surfaces throughout the ship. Comfortable clothing and shoes with non-skid soles are recommended.
Parking
Parking, including handicapped parking spaces, is available in the parking lot on the Navy Pier adjacent to the Midway. The cost is $10 (as of November 2015). Limited metered parking spaces are available within walking distance along Harbor Drive.
Dining and Drinking
Dining will be in the Hangar Deck just beyond the entrance. A private bar will be located nearby for the purchase of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Free bottles of water will be available.
